5.12 Demonstrate skill in assessment and instruction with English language learners from diverse backgrounds and at varying English proficiency levels.

For this concept I used a little extra practice/one on one activity I used with one of my struggling ELLs. I created this activity for my ELLs and lower students who struggle with comprehension or writing. However, for this ELL student Elizandra, I had to modify the activity even more. With my other ELLs and lower student they are able to use the first worksheet and create a picture with a phrase or partial sentence to represent it. However, Elizandra had difficulty even recalling what happened in the story, so I included the pictures that should have been drawn. We are working on this concept of comprehension daily with her and she has progressed so much since I first did this activity with her. She is extremely smart and catching up quickly.
