For this benchmark, I pretested and post tested students on habitats for science. I actually taught several lessons about the different habitats and animals around the world after pre testing students. Now because this was during the classroom's science block time, some students were at speech services and were not able to participate. During the pre test, the lowest score I saw was just over 60%. The scores on the pretest weren't awful, but students needed to have mastery of these standards. The classes pretest average was sitting at 72%, after teaching several lessons on the different habitats, animals, and needs, students post test scores allowed the class average to jump up by 13%. I think if all students were able to participate in this with the class, it would have help the class average jump a bit more. Overall, I felt confident that students had obtained a mastery level on the content and knowledge I taught.
